Our meetings tend to get ridiculous because each of us have such a sense of humor coupled with strong personalities and entrenched opinions with each of us convinced that we know the best way to do something. Thus it is easy for us to talk something to death. However, we agree on one thing – once we agree we commit and we throw all our energy into the project we adopt the “do or die” theory.
We become like the little choo-choo train going up the hill and frequently one or the other start saying “yes we can…yes we can…” Our belief that commitment is the springboard and lack thereof is the death of a dream has propelled us forward even in the face of adversity.
Committed people attract committed people! Surround yourself with people who believe in your commitment with the same zest you do and you will move mountains.
Quit talking it to death! Once you know what you want to do, you have laid the foundation; it is now time to take the leap. You must commit. This doesn’t mean that you can’t change plans or actions but you must keep moving forward.
The more forward motion you have, the faster you will go. We believe with the right commitment you can make a million, you can change direction in your life; you can stop being a caged buzzard and learn to soar with the eagles.
Commitment brings great responsibility. You must have such a belief that you can do it – live the dream and you will commit your time, your energy and your money to making it happen. You will allow nothing to stand in the way of the commitment.
Commitment means getting rid of doubt. You have to believe in your dream and believe in yourself with every fiber of your being. If you find people trying to dissuade you, I can guarantee there is a hidden agenda going on with them. You remove negative forces from your thought process. You awake each day with a positive commitment to move forward – to be in a win-win situation with your dream.
We can’t preach enough that once you have your dream, set your values, determine your vision, and define your manifesto; you must honor those traits and make the commitment to move forward. You have all the right support structure in place.
Doubt will kill commitment every time. Commitment means to remove doubt from your plan so that you are a positive force moving forward at all times.
Like the “little train who could”, you can make it over any mountain with determination, guts and commitment.
When you are asked if you are going to do it….say “I am” not “I think I can”. You are a person in charge of your own destiny…. you know you can! The Little Train book should have been saying “I will do it” and not “I think I can”!
The ‘do or die’ attitude is going to make an impact on what you do each day. You get up each morning knowing you are working on your plan. You put it in your planner. You take action. You meet milestones. You don’t let your life plan timeline turn red because you didn’t meet a commitment.
Public commitment wins every time. If you say you are going to make a million dollars, believe me you will. It is an internal clock that creates a force of energy that will allow you to succeed if nothing else through sheer will.
Commitment believes you have bought into your dream hook, line and sinker. Forward motion is the execution of the plan. One does not work without the other.
